Could A Presidential Blogger Be In The Offing?
It’s common knowledge now that presidential politics has moved full bore into the online world. YouTube videos, parodies, and non-sanctioned advertisements are all part of the political conversation.
We’re in a presidential cycle now that sees major candidates who are female, African American, and Mormon.
But has the time of presidential blogging arrived?
Somewhat surprisingly, not-quite-but-almost candidate and former Senator Fred Thompson checks in regularly with conservative readers at places like Pajamas Media.
It would be a great and refreshing change to see serious political candidates who can cut through the clutter and communicate in an open and humanizing way with the people. I’m not sure if Thompson is that candidate, but it seems likely that blogging will serve as an ongoing means for presidential aspirants to reach new audiences.
