Scientology and contextual advertising

I keep seeing a Scientology banner ad being served to OMC via Google Adsense.

That shows how far contextual advertising still has to go, I guess!

Yes i guess its something to solve in the future. i've seen scientology ads all over the web, in gaming websites , religious websites and in psychological help websites as well. Its a adveritiesers fault too i guess, because the scientology advertiesers are trying to be as general as possible.

Tecnical opinions asside, the advertising style and the religion itself is phony and just sick!

Eric, a Scientology media person sent me an email asking if I'd place links to a YouTube playlist on my blog.
  • Yeah I got contacted as well.... wacky.
  • Not just you. I'm seeing them everywhere. RSS feeds, blogs (including The Inquisitr.) They're either doing a massive ad campaign at the moment, or their doing some sort of targeting; first time I saw one of their video units I played it, and now they wont go away.
  • Not unlike those "lap band" ads I keep seeing *everywhere* in a sense :-)
  • nevertheless, no one else is still able to match it better then mr Big G.
