Online Media Cultist honored by The Industry Standard

I was truly honored and humbled to learn this week that The Industry Standard has selected Online Media Cultist as part of its Top 25 B-to-Z List Blogs.

The basis of the list is as follows:

These are the blogs you won’t see on the Techmeme Leaderboard, Technorati’s Top 100 blogs, or the CruchBase BloggerBoard … at least not yet. They include VCs, entrepreneurs, coders, experts, and observers, and they bring a delicious mix of insight, experience, and passion to their blogs. While they may not have the right amount of link love, they need to be on your radar screens.

Not only was the mere inclusion fantastic, but the description of this site was incredibly flattering:

Ingenious, insightful, and gosh-darned clever writing about online media of all descriptions. Covering traditional Web sites, blogs, social networking, and more, Eric Berlin pulls no punches.

I simply couldn’t ask for a better compliment, and it validates the direction and vision (and put quotes around that if you’d like !) that I’ve been heading in over the last year and a half or so. In short, I’m finding a groove in combining my fanboy’s optimistic take on the wide world of the interwebs with a web producer’s eye for trends, analysis, and what simply makes sense online and what doesn’t.

Not every story is a hit, but each day and each week I feel like I’m improving, and the best part has been that it’s been a lot of fun, particularly getting comments and chit-chattering away with all of y’all who happen to stop by.

And by the way: digging through the list, I already must recommend a few, including Zoli’s Blog and Venture Hacks.
