Sites Linking to This Page Feature: A Nice Touch
After reading a rather arresting plea for Al Gore to endorse Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination for president in the Huffington Post, I scrolled down and noticed a nifty little feature that I personally haven’t come across before, called Sites Linking to This Page. It lists top sites linking into the article – in this case social media sites like reddit and popurls, but also direct links from places like barackobama.com – and then lists the number of views.
This is a great way to give recognition and acknowledgement to sites who link to a site, and it’s also simply interesting to see where traffic is coming from and the relative numbers involved.
If a wordpress plugin for something like this doesn’t exist, I wouldn’t be surprised to see one in the works soon.
